The Truss House – Berry

This design explores a response to a difficult side sloping site. The living space has direct views to the pool and northern orientation. Silvertop ash timber cladding and mixed textured materials tie the textural built form to the gumtree backdrop. Exposed steel web trusses elevate the ceiling to the north.

What the client says: ‘After a couple of years of indecision with our difficult block in Berry, we came to the conclusion that we needed an architect to fully realise the potential of our site, to consider the environment and also our needs.
Simon was very approachable and his design included all that we asked for and then some.
Our build was a collaboration overseen by Simons keen eye for detail and finishes. We are so proud of our beautiful home. It is an absolute pleasure to live in… it is our paradise found.
Thankyou i architecture we wouldn’t hesitate to engage your services if we ever wanted to build again.’ Leanne Sellick
