3 x Dual Occupancies on Edward – Berry
Under low rise medium density NSW planning provision this project project was brought to life without a DA. That’s right a Complying development direct with a certifier not council.
The existing large shed structure was demolished to make way for 3 x dual Occupancies equalling 6 occupancies in total.
The developers target market was to offer more compact living close to Berry Town Centre without the compromises of unit living.
Post Occupation Certificate the properties gained Torrens title for each occupation, meaning no body cooperate and a better return on investment when sold.
Highlights of the design included:
-a glass lift allowing for aging in place to access the 3 bedrooms on the upper floors
-a large curved void
-2 car garage
– Master bedroom over looking the surrounding mountain ridgeline.
– The Character and Materiality of the design with to fit in with the surrounding berry housing Typology.
